The Bill of Rights and subsequent amendments are constantly under attack by the Left in America. Freedom of speech is being trampled upon through liberal censorship of Conservatives on social media. The right to bear arms is being trampled upon by gun grabbing Democrats.
And the 14th amendment, which says that no state shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process, has been all but destroyed since the Supreme Court ruled on Roe vs. Wade in 1973.
Since that time, there have been over 60 million American babies denied their right to life.
For some perspective, that’s 50 times more than the number of Americans we’ve lost in every war we’ve fought since 1776.
But one Southern state is attempting to restore the right to life to our nation’s most defenseless citizens.
Mississippi’s governor has signed the nation’s tightest abortion restrictions into law.
Republican Gov. Phil Bryant signed House Bill 1510 on Monday afternoon. It becomes law immediately and bans most abortions after 15 weeks’ gestation. Bryant has frequently said he wants Mississippi to be the “safest place in America for an unborn child.”
Predictably, abortion advocates are in total meltdown over this bill, even though at 15 weeks unborn children have arms, legs, and a beating heart.
The United States is only one of seven nations in the world that allows late-term abortions after a baby in utero is a viable human being. These other nations include China, North Korea, and Vietnam, where human rights go to die.
Mississippi only has one abortion clinic, whose owner has pledged to sue the government for this “unconstitutional” action.
Those who understand the Constitution know what a lie this is, and are able to see that until abortions are fully outlawed in America, we cannot claim to be following the Constitution.
