Every day we discover more proof that the left’s depiction of President Trump is utterly false. This time, it’s been demolished by a directive worth $200 million.
From the outset of his campaign, the liberal media has painted Donald Trump as a sexist, racist, homophobic bigot. Not because of anything he’s done, but based entirely on their bogus attacks.
Yet any honest person, when they look at the President, will not see a hateful enemy. In fact, they’ll find a man that works hard for every American.
He recently signed an order to direct $200 million of the DOE’s grant money to help two minority groups. The grant specifically focuses on high-paying careers.
President Donald Trump on Monday directed at least $200 million a year to technology education grants for women and minorities.
The president signed a memo instructing Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to prioritize STEM through existing competitive grant programs that will encourage women and minorities to participate in coding and other computer-based careers — though senior administration officials offered few specifics on how they would fulfill that goal…
Senior administration officials said they would leave crucial specifics — such as who will receive the federal funds — up to DeVos. One official emphasized they would focus on programs that start children on this path at a young age…
This move will have a tremendous impact on who can get training in STEM careers. Science, technology, engineering, and math are the highest-paying industries in the country. People who are skilled in these tech-based jobs can look forward to fruitful careers.
But not everyone has access to training that can equip them for these jobs. President Trump is doing what he can to increase the number of students who can get education related to these fields.
Not everyone is cut out for a career in a STEM field. And many students will pursue other paths. But this move will give more opportunity to people who might not have any otherwise.
Would a racist or sexist do something like this? Probably not. Trump’s order will help many young people, setting them up for good careers.
I’m sure CNN and the New York Times will report on this fairly. Right? Probably not.
Meanwhile, many Americans will benefit from this move. And few will learn about it.
