You know it must be really bad if your own party is scheduling a debate, followed by a vote to expel you from office.
Such as is the case in Colorado. And of course, such is the case with Democrats.
One Democratic state house representative has been caught big time. After a full investigation, a report revealed that the allegations of five different women against this creep of a lawmaker were true. Naturally, the representative is still denying everything.
Unfortunately for him, his own caucus believes the report. And now, he’s quite possibly going to be removed from office. I say, the sooner the better.
From Washington Times:
An effort by Colorado Democrats to expel one of their own over sexual misconduct allegations faced tough odds Friday amid Republican objections to how the complaints have been handled.
Democrats who control Colorado’s House scheduled debate and a vote Friday on a resolution to expel Rep. Steve Lebsock after an independent investigator concluded that allegations by five women were credible…
Lebsock, who has denied wrongdoing, challenged the impartiality of the outside investigator at a hearing Thursday. The full investigation has not been released publicly.
If Democrats get the two-thirds vote required, Lebsock would be the nation’s second state lawmaker expelled over sexual misconduct allegations since the rise last fall of the #MeToo movement in which millions of women have shared their harassment experiences via social media.
What is most ironic is that the Liberals have jumped quickly onboard the #MeToo movement, thinking it would be their ticket to taking down a lot of Republicans prior to the 2018 elections. However, quite the opposite has happened.
A strong majority of Democrats have been found out, and now this party has to come to grips with the fact that they need to punish their own. And not only do Liberals need to punish their own for their sexual wrongdoings, but they also need to publicly admit that the Democratic party has failed Americans in many, many ways.
However, I’m not sure if they would ever do that and speak the truth. I’m guessing in the case of Colorado, they would rather expel this individual and pretend that he was not a Democrat, and then quickly wipe this scandal under the rug and move on to the next thing.
Time will indeed tell.
